What is the Difference between SSDI and SSI

When people are talking “getting disability” or “being on disability” they’re talking about two different programs provided by the Social Security Administration (SSA).

Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) are two different programs with separate rules and qualifications for each.
